- The factory went to CAN/BUS beginning in 2011 on Softail. These new modules posed a challenge and were happy to have a full-line of Load Equalizers,lluminators and a brake Eliminator. The only time a Load Equalizer is needed is when you install aftermarket turn signals on a 2011-Up FXST, 2012-Up Dyna or ANY 2014-Up model and you have rapid flashing turn signal indicator lights. Many new LEDs produced today are CAN/Bus compliant and do NOT require the use of Load Equalizers.
